HUNGER GAMES. Part II.
Well... I read the first book then saw the movie. Now? Reading the second book! It's been about 6 months since I've read the first book but I've finally tried to get the second one started a little bit. I haven't gotten too far because I've had a lot going on recently. I started reading because I got that craving to read it almost like if people were to constantly talk about a food and then I would eventually want it... It's a bit like that. Rumors of the movie for Catching Fire have sporadically popped up and some of the girls I work with have been talking about the series as well. In fact, one girl I work with started to reread the entire series everytime she went on break so we often talk about it at work. The exposure to it all again forced me to read a little bit during some classes I wasn't doing anything in and it's getting me to that addiction again where I don't want to put it down. Unfortunately the sound of the bell forces me to and then I get put into a class where I have no choice but to do work. I laugh inside but I really want to take a day away from the world and continue my reading. I thought Suzanne Collins wrote the greatest first book to a series I had ever read after reading The Hunger Games. I read it just before the movie came out and didn't have the time to continue with the next book. I thought the movie was very good and Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson did an excellent job with their roles. The book was better than the movie in my opinion but the visual components to the movie were fantastic. District 12 certainly looked to be a poor place where the Capital seemed very futuristic as it should have been done. It's crazy to see a little kid from Kicking and Screaming have such a grown up role years later that has all the girls I know just falling over in awe and admiration. Lenny Kravitz, Liam Hemsworth, and Woody Harrelson are also top notch names for this movie. I honestly just want to READ! The world is too hectic and involved for me to do what I want so I have to go with the flow. Senior Week may be a good time to catch up on some good reads and for me to begin writing a novel like I so desire to do. (Yeah they're be some partying don't get me wrong.) But this series is too good for me to not read. I applaud the work of Ms. Collins and envy her writing abilities. You are immediately mesmorized by her work when you pick it up. I want to get to the third book and know what all happens. I feel left out to be honest. Curse there only being 24 hours in a day for I can never fully accomplish everything I want in a single day. Only time will tell my tale. Once I actually get to read Catching Fire to its entirity I will post my feelings and wishes. For now... We must only know how it hurts me I haven't read it yet, but I am in the process.
